Our evolution of the sling pack has created a new companion for all your adventures. With 14 liters of rugged storage, including space for a liter and a half of water, you’ll have room for all your gear and then some. As a sling pack, all gear will be easily accessible no matter the situation, and when it’s time to get moving again, the stabilizer strap will ensure a rock solid fit.

Switchbak 14 solves the age-old problem of riding a ski chairlift with a backpack on. The stabilizer strap was designed to be glove friendly, it magnetically fastens and mechanically releases, all without removing your gloves. When it’s time to get on the lift, you swing the sling pack to your front and sit comfortably, with easy topside access to your water and pockets. Switchbak 14, although born of innovation on the ski slopes, is right at home in any environment and any activity.

Prototype Testing

Extensive use-case testing was completed through multiple prototype iterations, ensuring you will receive a purpose-built pack.

Some of the key aspects evaluated include: how to safely stow the stability strap while not in use, where the hydration hose is most useful, where a chairlift pass is easily scanned, how your phone can be kept warm & easily accessible, leveraging cinch straps to keep the bag compact when not using the full storage capacity, and incorporating a quick release buckle when putting it on over your head isn’t an option.
